About TransChecker?

The purpose of this web application

Do you have these concerns?

  • I'm not sure if the interpreter is translating correctly.
  • Current machine translation tools can sometimes cause translation errors.
  • If translation errors are not noticed, misunderstandings are likely to occur.
  • For deep communication with foreigners, such as consultations and advice, where translation errors can be a problem, machine translation cannot be used because of the fear of translation errors.
  • When talking with foreigners who cannot speak Japanese, the only way is to speak only in English, the common language.

However, it is difficult to have complex consultations using only English.

If you can have a conversation without misunderstandings in each other's native language, various businesses targeting foreigners can be efficiently and effectively realized.

  • TransChecker is a tool that instantly evaluates whether or not there are any translation errors in machine translation.
  • It allows you to use machine translation with peace of mind and trust.
  • You can communicate complex explanations and deep consultations in each other's native language without translation errors.

Principles and features of this app

  1. TransChecker uses the translation engine twice for each translation.
After machine translating the original text, it is back-translated again and text analysis is used to determine whether it matches the original text.

  2. If the original text and the back-translated text match nearly 100%, the translation is determined to be correct.

  3. If the back-translated text differs from the original text by more than 50%, the machine translation (AI) has rephrased it using different words.
In that case, it is highly likely that there is a translation error.
Rephrasing the original text again using different expressions, try correcting it so that the original text and the back-translated text match.

  4. By using machine translation twice in this way, you can quantitatively determine whether there are any translation errors caused by the machine translation and the extent of the errors.

How to use this web app

  1. Using machine translation to check whether the original text is restored by back-translation has been used by many people for a long time.
TransChecker automates this process, automating whether the back-translation matches the original text through text analysis.
  2. The results of the translation check are displayed as a score and in four colors (blue/green/yellow/red). You can immediately tell if there are any errors in the machine translation, so you can easily rephrase or correct it and confirm with the other person.
This allows for communication without misunderstandings or errors.
